FAQ's about having functions at The Patriot
Q. How much is it to hire the room for an evening?
A. There is no charge for the use of the function room.
Q. Do I need to pay a deposit?
A. There is a $250 damage deposit which will be returned to you at the end of the night as long as there has been no damage to the room. (We have never had to keep one yet.)
Q. How do I find out if the room is free on the night I want to have a function?
A. Call our friendly bar staff on 09 445 3010 and they will be able to tell you straight away.
Q. Do you allow functions for every occasion?
A. The youngest Birthday party we would consider allowing would be a 21st.
We do however allow functions for any other occasion.
Q. Can I put on a bar tab?
A. Yes. You can put on a tab for however much you like and you can ask the bar staff at any time what you total is currently at and you can stop it or extend it as you please.
Q. Can I bring in my own food and alcohol?
A. No. We do allow you to bring in a cake if you like.
Q. Can we order food for our function through you?
A. Yes. click here for function food options.
Q. How many people do I have to have coming before I can have the function room?
A. The minimum is 40.
Q Can I play my own music?
A. Yes. You can plug in an iPod or a laptop and listen to your own playlist or you can listen to the music that our computer is randomly playing.
Q. Can I decorate the room for my party?
A. Yes. You are more than welcome to come down during the day of you function and decorate the room.
Q. What time can I start and finish my function?
A. Normally people start around 7.30pm but it is completely up to you. We are license to go to 1am if you wish to.
